About
I’m a guy who wants to be a writer who has a little too much going on in his life. So, I’m moving forward with writing by following all of the best advice I can find. One of those is a regularly updated blog.
Random things about me.
I cannot use a stud finder because it goes off a full force whenever I hold it.
I believe if a deserted village had random popup gym equipment Jonathon Cabot (GymKata) could take Remo Williams (The Adventure Begins).
I believe that is the only instance where that is possible.
I love fantasy but I have skipped over every poem, every song, and every ‘other language’ blurb in each book.
I like scifi with trees and fantasy with bolts, but Orson Scott Card was right about it not selling. I don’t know why.
Unless I can compare a book to Roger Zelazny’s Amber series for writing skill; I cannot read a story in first person without mocking it.
Today’s fantasy writers could use a bit more Pier’s Anthony influence.
Now that my daughter has moved out, I live alone in a 1900 sq ft house and enjoy the peace immensely.
I insist my daughter’s daughter call me Dude.
People are surprised when they find out I’m a veteran. When I was in, you kept your military service quiet out of fear.
My favorite bloom county comic was when Opus rang up a huge dial a mom bill and when he thought he was on the highway to hell, Milo just gave him Dishwashing duty and called him a goob. It reminds me of true friendship.
I am not as old as those last four comments make me sound.
I enjoy my day job. Not every aspect mind you, but I like bringing order and productivity out of chaotic effort.
I’ve never met a comma I didn’t like.
I am writing an epic fantasy and an urban fantasy currently.
You can find me on City of Heroes on Sunday evenings.
